Inseego Launches its Next-Gen 5G Router Upgrade with UScellular

By Alex Passett

“Business-ready 5G, deployed in minutes.”

This is the mission of 5G cloud solutions provider Inseego Corp.; to connect every one of its partners’ and customers’ devices – virtually anywhere, to boot – so everyone’s able to enjoy reliable 5G connectivity without complex network management hassles

As a company trusted by the likes of T-Mobile and Verizon, Nokia, Telstra and Ericsson, the 5G solutions available from Inseego include 5G WWAN (a.k.a. Wireless Wide Area Network) connectivity for fast-and-secure broadband, 5G cloud networking for zero-maintenance, automated and cloud-centric network management, and operational improvements in terms of visibility and lowered costs via 5G intelligent edge.

And, per an announcement Inseego made this Tuesday morning, the official launch of the company’s next-gen 5G indoor router with UScellular is underway.

This upgraded FX3100 (which includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System) adds new capabilities to the current-gen FX2000 (a well-received product in the market).

According to Inseego, the FX3100’s features include:

  • Best-in-class performance: With Inseego’s antenna and RF technology, the FX3100 delivers peak, blazing-fast 5G speeds with sustained high throughput. (Plus dual-band Wi-Fi 6 support, up to 64 device connections, and built-in dual ethernet ports.)
  • Easy setup and management: “No service technicians needed,” said Inseego. In just a few minutes, the easy-setup FX3100 can also be paired with the Inseego Mobile smartphone app for intuitively managing settings and monitoring the router in order to optimize its performance for specific environments.
  • Enterprise-grade security: For enterprises and SMBs alike, this easily deployable router’s security has been developed with several layers of security. The FX3100 actively safeguards data with advanced encryption, hacker prevention, password protection, OpenVPN, guest Wi-Fi network and more.

Per Ritesh Mukherjee, Senior Vice President of 5G Products at Inseego:

“UScellular has had success providing broadband internet services using state-of-the-art 5G networks in their region. With this in mind, we’re very proud to be working with UScellular to continue bringing 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) innovations to market. Our 5G FWA solutions are highly secure, simple to deploy, versatile, and ready-built for large-scale deployments. The FX3100 fits in nicely within our broad FWA portfolio, bringing a fresh new choice to our customers.”
